Opening Remarks – Worldloppet Annual General Assembly, Poland

It is a great privilege to gather here today in Poland, at the heart of a passionate cross-country skiing community and in a country that warmly welcomes the Worldloppet family.

Each General Assembly is much more than an administrative meeting. It is an opportunity to celebrate our shared mission: to grow cross-country skiing, inspire new generations of skiers, and strengthen the bonds that connect our events around the world.

In a constantly changing world, Worldloppet remains a symbol of international cooperation, friendship, and shared passion. Together, we have the responsibility to make our sport more accessible, more inclusive, and more sustainable.

On behalf of the Gatineau Loppet and the Canadian delegation, I would like to thank our Polish hosts for their exceptional hospitality and their commitment to the global cross-country skiing community.

I wish us all productive discussions, inspiring new ideas, and, above all, the pleasure of reconnecting with friends who share the same passion.

Together, let us continue to chart the future of cross-country skiing worldwide.

Thank you, and I wish you all an excellent General Assembly.
