What is Worldloppet?

The Worldloppet Ski Federation (known as Worldloppet) is an international sports federation of cross-country skiing marathons, founded on June 10, 1978, in Uppsala, Sweden. The aim of Worldloppet is to promote the sport of cross-country skiing, by focussing on popular skiing through the various ski races around the world.

Only one and the best ski marathon from a country can be a member of Worldloppet. Worldloppet currently unites 19 long-distance ski races from America, Asia, Australia & Oceana, and Europe.

Worldloppet Passport

The Worldloppet passport contains a special page for each event in the Worldloppet series. After completion of a Worldloppet race, the skier must ask for the official stamp at the race office of the event. The price of a passport is 33€ and is available in every Worldloppet race office in 19 countries and at the Worldloppet Office. It can also be ordered via e-shop.

Everyone can become a Worldloppet Master!

After completing Worldloppet races in 10 different countries, at least one of them on another continent (it means at least one race in Argentina, Australia, Canada, China, Japan, New Zealand or the United States), the skier will be recognized as a Worldloppet Master. Worldloppet Virtual Racing League 

The Worldloppet Virtual Racing League combines all the virtual race formats of Worldloppet member races to one league. Every athlete who completes 7 virtual races from 7 different countries achieves the title of “Virtual Racer“. It does not replace the Worldloppet Master title and is not valid for the Worldloppet Passport, however it  keeps the skiing community together.
