DEPARTURE TIME

CUT-OFF TIME
For safety and health reasons, skiers who have not crossed the 31st km (P11-O’Brien) before 1:30 p.m. (an average of 7 km/h), will not be allowed to continue the race. They will be transported to the finish line.

WAXING AREA
It is important to wax your skis before arriving at the event site.

BUS
Bus will leave the CEGEP at 7:30 am.

SANCTION
The first wave of the 50km free technique will be sanctioned by Cross-country Canada for the FIS Points List. All skiers taking part in that first wave must provide one of the following licenses:
- FIS license
- License issued by a national Federation (e.g. international competitors)
- CCC Racing license
For skiers who have no licenses, the Gatineau Loppet will provide the Cross-Country Canada Supporting Member’s License (day license).

SKIERS’ BAGS
Skiers will be able to leave their bag of clothes in a vehicle provided for this purpose at the start site P17. They will retrieve their bag at the CEGEP de l’Outaouais at the end of their race.

PRIZES (men and women)
A Swix Classic tuque will be given to all participants of the 50km race.
► Best over-all time for each distance, men and women.
► For longer races, bursaries are awarded. The largest amounts are awarded for the FIS sanctioned race. In 2023, the following bursaries are:
1st place: $1 200
2nd place: $600
3rd place: $300

AWARD CEREMONY
Skiers must be present to receive the bursaries or prizes. The bursaries or prizes will be awarded at the official medal ceremony (podiums) to be held at the Ski Show when the results are official at approximately 1:30 p.m. Medals must be claimed during the weekend. Results will be posted in the Ski Show and live on the web.
Medals will be awarded for each age category.
