Gatineau, February 16, 2025 – The 47th edition of the Gatineau Loppet continued under the snow today! Although the weather presented an additional challenge, it was with smiles on their faces and an even greater sense of accomplishment that the cross-country skiers crossed the finish line of the 2, 10, 27 and 50 km free technique events on this second day of competition.
With 2571 entries, the 47th edition records its highest participation rate in the last fifteen years. The organization was also delighted to welcome representatives from 23 countries, four more than last year.
“It was an incredible edition, and I’d like to raise my token to the 250 volunteers who coped with the challenges of the weather to deliver a memorable event worthy of the world’s greatest cross-country ski races,” says Philippe Lebel, President of the Gatineau Loppet’s Board of Directors.
