Chelsea, Quebec — September 3, 2026 —Gatineau Loppet and Marc Roy Consulting are pleased to announce a new chapter for the Demi-marathon de la Voie Verte. Gatineau Loppet will assume responsibility for organizing this well-established regional running event.
This transition will bring together Gatineau Loppet’s event-management expertise and the distinctive identity the Half Marathon has built since its inception. The event will remain in the heart of Chelsea and continue to showcase its community, businesses, volunteers, landscapes, and local organizations.
To ensure continuity, Marc Roy, the event’s founder, will remain involved as a consultant for the next two years. He will support the team, share his expertise, and help preserve the vision and local character that have contributed to the event’s success.
The next edition will take place on Sunday, August 22, 2027, and registration is already open. Before then, join us at Courons Gatineau on September 26, 2026, to run from one river to the other!
In the meantime, our team will meet with partners, organizations, and community members to shape the event’s future together.
We look forward to writing this new chapter together—with the same roots, the same close connection to the community, and renewed ambition for outdoor running in our region.
