With the support of the National Capital Commission (NCC), we are privileged to have access during the Gatineau Loppet weekend to the beautiful trails of Gatineau Park.
The trails are currently available to skiers who want to train before the event. Many trails are identified as being for a specific activity, while some are shared. It is therefore VERY important to respect the vocation of the trails identified for a specific technique (i.e. classical or free technique) up until and after the day of the race. For this reason, we ask that those who wish to practice on the skate trails avoid the classic-only ski trails, i.e. trails 7-15-35 and 36, before race day on Sunday, February 20 and after the Loppet weekend.
The NCC crews work very hard to maintain the highest level of grooming in the Park.
Let’s help them keep the trails in good and safe condition so that users and ski enthusiasts can fully enjoy their experience in this enchanting environment.
