Courons Gatineau Awarded the 15 km Québec Cup by Athlétisme Québec for 2026 and 2027
Gatineau, November 17, 2025 — The Courons Gatineau organizing committee is proud to announce that it has been selected by Athlétisme Québec to host the 15 km Québec Cup during its 2026 and 2027 editions.
A recognition of quality
This recognition highlights the quality of the event and its growing significance within Québec’s road running calendar. Hosting the Québec Cup in Gatineau will attract elite athletes as well as recreational runners, enhancing the visibility of the region and promoting the sport of running.
The 2026 and 2027 editions of Courons Gatineau promise to combine athletic excellence, a welcoming atmosphere, and stunning scenery — reinforcing Gatineau’s reputation as a must-visit destination for running enthusiasts.

Courons Gatineau is an annual running event that brings together participants of all levels in a unique natural and urban setting. The event promotes health, personal achievement, and community spirit, while paying tribute to the rivers under the slogan ‘River to River’. With its professional organization and festive atmosphere, organized by Gatineau Loppet, Courons Gatineau actively contributes to the development of sport and the vitality of the Outaouais region.
Gatineau Loppet is the non-profit organization behind the Courons Gatineau and Gatineau Loppet events. The Gatineau Loppet is the largest cross-country ski event in Canada and serves as the Canadian stop on the Worldloppet circuit, which brings together the premier races from 19 countries. Every year, more than 2,500 skiers from around 20 countries participate. Held in Gatineau Park, the event offers a variety of distances suitable for cross-country skiing enthusiasts of all levels.
